"The Perfect Year" is truly a story of love and faith from the beginning to the end. This book is one you'll want to finish before putting it down. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. A. Powell

I have never enjoyed reading very much. In fact, the only times I read all through my school years is when I just had to in order to complete assigned home work.
When John Swank's book, "The Perfect Year", book became available, I wanted to support him as a dear friend, a fellow Christian and especially because he was sharing the profits from the sale of his book with our church.
Once I started reading it, it was like reading one of the Left Behind series books; I just couldn't put it down hoping to finish reading as soon as possible in order to see what "The Perfect Year" was. The writing was excellent, the flow of the writing just what you wanted it to be. I was really impressed the quality of writing. I would recommend this book to any one.
I just didn't know John was so talented in the writing field. I knew he was a Biblical intellect and teacher but didn't realize he also a talented writer.
Can't wait to read his next book as soon as it's available.

Mr. Swank is great at character development. Not only is this a great story, it's a tool that might be helpful when evangelizing to people of the Jewish faith. I typically don't read fiction or anything leaning towards a love story, but this book really captured my heart. Mo H.

Enjoyed Your book The Perfect Year!!! Met you and your wife in Denver, at the big conference. I had come upto you after your signing was over, as I was helping out my friend Kim. Thank you so much for your time andthe delayed book signing. I read the book in two days time. The ending was a complete shocker, as we tend to look for that fairytale ending...but what better ending could there be!!! Looking forward to the others.Lori

John Swank touches gently on a sensitive subject: bridging the gap between Christianity and Judaism. In "The Perfect Year," two people with a beautiful attraction are up against the uncomfortable reality of different faiths. I love how the author approached this tale from such a realistic place, bringing the reader intimately into the hardship these two characters, and their families, have to face as they grew together with the common interests of medical practice in the community, and Godly, upright living. Like most stories dealing with two people from separate faith upbringings, someone will have to bend to make things work. This book surprised me at every turn, and the ending left me speechless. I strongly recommend!"

A heavy weight that will inspire, a love story that will endear us to the end and a new beginning. John is a talented writer that teaches Judeo-Christian values.

A year is short time or a long time dependant on the events that occupy it. John Swank's character Chris Williamson is first of all a Christian, he is also a new OB/GYN doctor, in a new town. The Perfect Year begins. Many things can happen to a man in a year's time. Joyful things that are undeserved, and painful things that seem unfair. Walking in God's grace, Chris's Perfect Year is joy and tears. A triumphant journey. This is an enjoyable book, insightful and entertaining.
